YQ Challenge AGM 2016 - Alice in Wonderland
The Quilters' Guild AGM will be held from 15-17 April 2016 in Llandudno
The theme for the YQ Challenge is Alice in Wonderland and is open to all Young Quilter members. YQ School subscribers are welcome to enter the Groups/Schools quilt category.
Here is your chance to be really creative and design and make something inspired by this theme. Using your imagination, have fun whilst making a quilted item up to 60cm (24”). Be as creative as you like. It can be something useful or decorative. You can use any technique – patchwork, quilting, appliqué or a mixture of techniques, hand or machine sewing. There are three categories to enter: Individual aged 10 and under, Individual aged 11-16 and Group Quilts.
The challenge theme is inspired by Alice in Wonderland’s connection with Llandudno. This was where the real Alice in Wonderland, Alice Liddell inspired Lewis Carol to create his famous story.
