Young Quilters in action!
Thank you to all YQs who sent in photos of their quilts in the making.
Fiona in Region 2 designed her quilt so the sea creates a number 2! She worked on it over 2 months trying different quilting stitches. As motivation, she had regular chocolate breaks!
In the photos you can see Rebecca from Region 9 during all the different stages of making her quilt. Drawing horse designs, piecing fabric together, pressing the fabric, embroidering with buttons and decorations and on the sewing machine.
We have some photos from Fishergate Primary School sewing club who created a postcards quilt! Well done to the group for trying intricate stitch work on the machines!
