In the Spotlight 2018 Exhibition
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the exhibition 'In the Spotlight - Young Quilters 2018' which took place at Birmingham's NEC in August. 26 quilts were shown representing The Guild regions from across the country. This included individual YQs, as well as Youngish Quilters (14-18 years old), schools and groups. The theme was open and allowed the young people to show work they has already produced - quilts were diverse, different shapes, sizes, colours, materials and plenty of different sewing and quilting techniques. Over 25,000 people visited the festival so the young people involved should be extremely proud to have so many view their work and receive positives feedback. Some of the exhibitors were able to attend the show which was fantastic! It was a wonderful celebration of the next generation of Young Quilters!
