Blackminster Middle School 75th anniversary quilt
Thank you to Region 11 YQ Rep Sarah Gravestock for sharing these photographs of the Blackminster Middle School 75th anniversary quilt. Sarah worked with Textile Teacher Abi Robins on the project to celebrate the school's 75th anniversary.
350 children participated even if only stitching one small element and there is now a regular YQ sewing session at the school.
The quilt is now hung in the entrance hall to the school with an appropriate plaque. Thank you to all of the volunteers, staff and students whose commitment and creativity resulted in such a spectacular piece!
